Sleep And Its Effect On Children - 1342 Words

Sleep is extremely beneficial and plays an important role in every person’s health. Mostly, sleep is a crucial component in an infant’s first year of life, however there is very little research done on sleep and its effect on learning in motor development in infants. Motor development is defined as the ability to move and to develop those movements over time. Even though studies that address how sleep impacts infant’s new motor skills are very few, sleep does play a role in multiple factors during an infant’s development. Blumberg (2015) states that movements during sleep are affecting our motor development. Since infants spend most of their time asleep than awake, it is important to study the effects of sleep on development and to learn more about how infant develop their motor problem-solving skills. However, we cannot assume that infants learn new motor skills the same way adults do because infants are rapidly changing on day to day basis. The few studies that have been done on sleep in infant did not look at the effect it has on motor development. However, previous research on sleep discussed that sleep has a positive effect on memory, language and solving everyday tasks in infants (Konrad, Seehagen, Schneider, Herbert, 2016). Similarly, the more sleep an infant gets at night, the higher the scores for problem solving skills and the higher development of communication an infant will have (Gibson, Elder, Gander, 2012). The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, written in 1885, is a literary satire written by Mark Twain. The setting of the novel takes place prior to the Civil War along the Mississippi River. This novel presents moral and ethical problems that southern culture placed on individuals during the time period it was written. Twain wrote his Realist period novel to criticize what he believed was wrong with the society of his time. Twain presented his novel through the eyes and speech of the twelve year-old Huckleberry Finn to show his criticism towards this society. Although the novel has been criticized since its publication, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is still considered one of the greatest American novels ever written. Further, it is also proved that FIIs investment was a significant factor for high liquidity and volatility in the capital market prices.
